Shelter of Flint assists clients in obtaining rental assistance through a variety of programs. We also work closely with area landlords and realtors in developing leads on safe, affordable housing, both for our own clients and those of other area agencies. Staff accompany clients to view available housing and assist in the evaluation of potential sites. Client advocacy is provided in the procurement of rent and security deposit funds, acquisition of home furnishings, and on the issue of landlord/tenant rights.
